Antonym

Privacy policy.

Short, because there isn’t much to say: we keep your email address and almost nothing else. Last updated 22 September 2026.

This website and the contact form

The website sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics. If you send a message through the contact form, we keep your name (if you give one), your email, what you’re interested in, and your message so we can read it and reply. We use your email only to reply. Email hello@useantonym.com and we’ll delete it. When you arrive from an ad, we count visits, clicks and messages from that ad as daily totals, never connected to your email or message.

The rest of this policy covers the Antonym chat app at app.useantonym.com.

What we keep

Your email address. It’s how you sign in and how we reach you about your account. If you’re on the waiting list, it’s how we send your invitation.

A count of your requests. The number of questions you ask each day and the size of the traffic they generate, as numbers only, so we can run the service, enforce fair use, and understand our costs. This count contains no words from your questions or answers.

Your subscription state. Whether you are on a trial, subscribed, or cancelled, and your renewal date. Payment details live with Stripe, not with us.

Your theme preference, stored in your browser, not on our servers.

What we don’t keep

Your questions, your answers, what you paste, and what you attach are not written to any database or log by Antonym. A conversation exists in your browser tab for as long as you keep it open. Close the tab and it is gone. We don’t build a profile of you, and nothing you type is used to train any model, ours or anyone else’s.

Who else sees your questions

To answer you, Antonym sends your question, and anything you attached, to a language model. We use open-weight models run by hosting companies in the United States, chosen for zero-retention terms: they process the request and are contractually barred from storing it or training on it. Requests are sent through OpenRouter, a routing service, under the same terms, restricted to those US hosts.

When a question needs the web, the search terms go to Brave Search. When it needs a video, the video address goes to Supadata for the transcript. These providers see the search or the video, not your identity; we don’t send them your email. Each has its own privacy policy.

Sign-in emails are sent through Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe, which keeps your card and billing details under its own privacy policy. We see the last four digits and your subscription status, nothing more.

Cookies and analytics

The app sets one cookie: your sign-in session. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics in the app. On the public website we count page views and waiting-list signups as aggregate numbers, without cookies or identifiers.

Where your data lives

Our own records (email, counts, subscription state) are stored on Cloudflare in the United States. We don’t sell data, and we don’t share it except with the providers named above, to run the service, or if the law requires it.

Children

Antonym is not for children under 13. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we’ll delete it.

Your rights

Email hello@useantonym.com from the address on your account and we’ll tell you what we hold about you, or delete it. Deleting your account removes your email and counts from our systems; Stripe keeps payment records as long as the law requires it to. If you’re on the waiting list, reply to any email from us to be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll email subscribers before it takes effect. The current version is always at useantonym.com/privacy.
